Foot Fidget - April 14, 2015
Tuesday, April 14, 2015 1:55 PM

Sometimes a student just needs something to fidget with while working in class. A common answer is a standing desk with a “foot fidget” attached. So for 4 longer legs and some bungee cord, you have to pay $149.95. At the Assistive Technology Center our volunteers have created a standard package that modifies a regular desk into a standing desk with a foot fidget. District building engineers send damaged tables and desks to ATC, where the legs are removed and modified to be longer and adjustable.

Next bungee cord bought in bulk and PVC pipe are combined to produce a foot rest with some spring to it, a.k.a. a “foot fidget”. The whole thing functions just like the commercial one, except it only costs about $10.
