Smile for the camera! In her photography class at Transition Plus a young woman with limited strength who used a wheelchair wanted to participate, but there was no way to hold the camera. Using Loc Line modular hose, an item normally found in industrial cooling and lubricating systems, and some special clamps, a mounting system was fabricated at the Assistive Technology Center. It holds an iPad with a camera and is rigid enough to stabilize the device, yet moveable enough to be adjusted as necessary to take the desired picture. She can now independently adjust the iPad camera and take pictures for class.
